Borovets, originally known as Chamkoria, is the oldest winter resort in Bulgaria, with a history that dates back to 1896. Originally established as hunting grounds for Bulgarian Royalty, Borovets gradually developed into a modern ski resort without losing the beauty and wildlife that charmed rulers and peasants alike.
The Borovets Grand is being built next to the old center of Borovets, just minutes away from the lifts and ski runs. The construction began in Spring 2008 and the completion date is Summer 2008.
The hotel style residences are constructed over an area of 6,476 sq.m., though the building takes up a mere 23% of that area; the remaining 3,9000 sq.m. will enchant you with rock gardens, lawns and light and water displays.
This spectacular landscaping is set in the pine forest, which surrounds Grand Borovets, sheltering us from the noise of the town. This gives our guests the feel of a remote mountain chalet, while retaining the practicality of a downtown hotel (including handicap accessible entrances and facilities).
